The Chippewas

I thought about putting an old picture of members of the Chippewa tribe up but then I realized I don't want to get sued. So instead we get a Central Michigan soccer player pushing over another player. Try to insert some Native American revenge joke now. Alas it is Friday, which means tomorrow is gameday. It's been a long 4 days since the last major college football game of the season- last nights Arizona blow out doesn't count. Granted, we were all given a gift from god with that EPIC NFL opener. Randall Cobb.... yes. That is in the past. It's time to look at Central Michigan University- UK's opponent tomorrow at noon on ESPNU.
Central Michigan is located in the beautiful city of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. If you are wondering where that is, remember Michigan is shaped like your hand. Mount Pleasant is your center knuckle. Thank goodness they aren't from Florida. That would've been strange to explain. Anyway, Central Michigan plays in the mighty MAC. Don't make too much fun. Ohio University beat Kentucky at home a few years ago. With that said, the MAC isn't powerful.

Central Michigan lost a lot of games last year, but 7 were by a touchdown or less. Central Michigan has a new coach after Butch Jones left the season before last to take over the helm at Cincinnati. Ironically enough Butch Jones took the helm at Central Michigan when Brian Kelly left to take over at Cincinnati. The past 4 years CMU has been pretty dominant in the MAC under Jones and Kelly. Now of course, the talent pool has decreased as those coaches moved on. Central Michigan doesn't pose too much of a threat. Quarterback Ryan Radcliff threw for over 3000 yards last year notching 17 touchdowns- with 17 interceptions. In last weeks blowout game Radcliff threw 2 TD's and 2 INT's against a horrible team. Kentucky's defense should have no problem with him. This team is said to be worse than WKU. With that said....

Kentucky looked TERRIBLE against WKU. Kentucky should blow this team out. There is no excuse for if they don't. It's a home game with great weather in the forecast. It's a home game. Not some stupid field trip to Nashville. The team looked bad last week. Morgan Newton didn't look terrible- sans that one time he fell backwards. His wide receivers let him down. This is the last chance to work out the kinks before the big teams start rolling in. Kentucky should try out as many different receivers as they can. I am not going to be shocked if this is a low scoring game at the half. I just hope to see CMU held to 10 points. I want to see our offense click. If after this game the same problems persist, I am going to be furious. Not because of the team, but because I just spent a ton of money to watch us play Florida and Louisville.

Prediction- CMU- 7 UK 27
